The burritos are huge and Tasty. The pork carnitas were delicious, I ordered it "wet", and it was covered with yummy sauce and melted cheese. If you like veggies, the chicken fajitas burrito had plenty of onions and peppers. The salsa bar has many options, and all are very good. Fast friendly counter service and a big clean dining area. It's a bit after a drive from downtown Oceanside, but worth the hike.

I've lived in San Diego all my life, and I've been to plenty of Mexican restaurants. Some are great, some not, but none of them have ever threatened to charge me for the amount of salsa I took with my order. I bought a fish burrito here, and the cashier asked if I wanted chips for an extra $1.50. I said yes, and was puzzled to see that the chips didn't come with their own cup of salsa. So, I decided to just use the salsa normally used for the burritos and tacos. Because of this, I had quite a bit of salsa, sure, but the cashier said "that's way too much salsa for the burrito and chips, so next time I'll have to charge you three dollars for it." Threatening to charge three extra dollars for a few extra cups of salsa on an order that was already over $8, that included chips already, is just poor customer service. I found the exchange between myself and the cashier to be insulting, condescending, and completely off-putting. There are plenty of better Mexican restaurants with lower prices and friendlier staff that wouldn't even think to charge extra for a condiment that they literally have tubs of, so I'll never eat here again.

Chile relleno meal lacked flavor. Maybe it was what I ordered, but everything and sauce seamed too greasy. Very nice salsa bar. Neat and clean. Very good service. I liked it that it seemed family run.
